SPONSORED ARTICLE

The Arrma Senton 4×4 short course truck has gained a big following over the last five years. It is not surprising because this RTR is fast right out of the box, durable and right at home bashing on off-road terrain. As an RTR the Senton comes with a stock prepainted body and since there are so many out there that look alike, we figured we would give you our picks of 5 hot Pro-Line body and tire combinations for the Arrma Senton 4×4. Updating an RTR with a new lid and tires is a great way to rejuvenate it without spending a load of cash.

5 Hot Pro-Line Body/Tire Options for Arrma Senton 4x4

Pro-Line is the place to head when it is time to refresh your RTR. Following are our 5 picks of Pro-Line body and tire combinations that will drastically change the looks and even the performance of the Arrma Senton 4×4.

1) — 1978 Chevy C-10 race truck body paired with Badlands MX SC tires

The Pro-Line 1978 Chevy C-10 race truck body brings back some old-school cool to an RC ride. This is an officially licensed Chevy body that has the classic step-side styling complete with large full race fenders. We also love the looks of the retro front grill with big Chevy bowtie front and center. Back in the mid to late 70’s, the C-10 won many desert races in the hands of racing legends such as Parnelli Jones, Rick Mears and Walker Evans.

A tough off-road racing truck like the ’78 Chevy C-10 deserves equally aggressive tires and that is why we picked the Pro-Line Badlands MX SC tires. Pro-Line gave the Badlands enormous, long-lasting lugs inspired from the latest in motocross tread technology. Bashers will be blown away by the performance these tires provides on all types of off-road terrain. The Senton will have improved traction, longer wear characteristics and an enhanced appearance especially with the 1978 Chevy C-10 body.

2) — Volkswagen full fender Baja bug body paired with Sling Shot SC tires

Running an RC in the sand is quite the spectacle and so much fun. What makes it even cooler is if you swap out the stock tires for a complete set sand paddle tires. To transform the Senton 4×4 into a sand slinging machine, get yourself a set of the Pro-Line Sling Shot SC tires. The Sling Shot tires are molded with 1/4-inch tall paddles that will easily propel this short course truck through the sand while creating roosts of sand. Closed cell tire inserts are included with the Sling Shot tires and stock Senton wheels will fit these tires.

We thought the perfect body for the Senton when setup for sand is the Pro-Line Volkswagen Baja bug body. Not only do the looks of the Baja bug look the part of a sand machine but the footprint of the body is smaller than your standard short course truck and exposes the tires. Now the sand can be launched skyward while blasting across the sand. Pro-Line took the trouble and got this body officially licensed and created a great-looking 1/10-scale version of the VW bug.

3) — Toyota Tundra TRD Pro true scale body pared with Street Fighter SC tires

For this combo, our goal was to turn the Senton into a more scale and realistic looking truck that is setup for on-road action. The Pro-Line Toyota Tundra TRD Pro true scale body certainly fits the bill. Pro-Line accurately replicated the Tundra in their crystal clear polycarbonate. Along with the body lines, front grill, lights and taillights that bring this Toyota body to life, you are setup with window masks and overspray film to help you complete the body.

Given that we want to run on-road, the proper tires are needed for the optimum in street performance. It was a no-brainer and we selected the Pro-Line Street Fighter SC tires. These tires have a great street tire appearance and offer super long-wear. Included with the tires are closed cell foam inserts and feature standard 2.2-inch/3.0-inch short course bead dimensions so they will mount onto Senton wheels.

4) — 1981 Ford Bronco body paired with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires

Pickup truck bodies are cool however there are so many of them out there. Take the Senton into a different direction and mount up the Pro-Line 1981 Ford Bronco body. It has classic looks and was molded after the full size Broncos from the 80’s that were popular among full-size off-road racers. Give the clear Pro-Line Bronco body a full-scale race-inspired paint job and you will have one sweet off-road racing truck on your hands. Like all of Pro-Line’s bodies, window mask, overspray film and a sticker sheet are included.

Going hand in hand with the scale off-road racing theme, we figured some scale off-road tires would be in order. Here are the impressive looking Pro-Line BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires. Thanks to a continued partnership that Pro-Line has maintained with full size off-road tire manufacturer BFGoodrich, this collaboration was made possible. These tires mated with the Bronco body will help give the Senton the ultimate in scale looks and multi-surface performance. Densely packed tread blocks with a large number of tread sipes give the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires extreme off-road traction and awesome street performance.

5) — 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor desert truck body paired with Prism SC off-road carpet tires

Off-road carpet racing is a lot of fun and keeps the RC action going when the weather is not cooperating. With that being said, the last body/tire combo that we put together is aimed for that goal of indoor racing. The big meaty stock tires have to go in favor for purpose-made carpet racing tires like these Pro-Line Prism SC tires. The Prism tread is race proven and popular with racers. They are molded with a bunch of ultra-sharp prism shaped pins that are laid out over the tire in a special pattern that grabs surface of the carpet.

As a compliment to the Prism tires, we chose the Pro-Line 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor body. It retains the short course roots of the Senton while bringing scale detail that replicates a 2017 Ford Raptor with trophy truck styling. Pro-Line diligently worked to add loads of detail into the body and sticker sheet. The Senton will have a more scale racer appearance and allows you to create your very own custom paint scheme to make it truly your own.
