The SC8e RTR survives a grueling 375 mile course in 24 hours!
Team Associated modeled the SC8e race truck after Curt, Kyle, and Todd LeDuc’s short-course race trucks as raced in the televised Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Armed with drawings of the actual 1:1 short-course race trucks, our design team was able to reproduce the scale specs in the compact package of the SC8e. It’s all there - the scale suspension travel, roll-cage tube diameter, even the functional mud flaps mirror the real thing!

The SC8e is the first 1:8 scale electric 4WD short-course race truck to include high-performance features like the Mamba Max Pro brushless electronic speed control with the Neu-Castle 2200kV brushless motor, all digitally controlled by Associated’s XP3-SS 2.4GHz 3-channel radio system. The result is the SC8e RTR, where jaw-dropping scale realism meets race-bred high performance.

We didn’t stop at Rockstar looks and gnarly power. Team Associated has proven the performance and durability of the SC8e in R/C Car Action’s 24-Hour Thrash Test, where the truck was driven over 375 miles at race speed through rugged off-road terrain for 24 consecutive hours. This would have been a brutal test for any scale off-road race truck, but the SC8e RTR endured 375 miles of dirt with the original electronics, suspension, drivetrain and body intact. With only one tire change throughout the run, this was truly an amazing accomplishment and testament to the durability of the SC8e RTR!

RPM Releases Adjustable Height Body Mounts for the Traxxas Slash 4x4

RPM Adjustable Height Body Mounts for the Traxxas Slash 4x4 are designed to give you optional body height positions where stock left you none. Our version of the Slash 4x4 body mount starts off lower than stock by 1/8” (or approx. 3.2mm). We supply a pair of molded spacers to allow you the option of a stock height body position using the thin spacer under the body mount. If monster suspension travel is needed or you just like the higher stance and larger wheel well openings a taller body mount provides, you can increase the height by 1/8” using the thicker of the two spacers. In extreme cases, both spacers may be used for a full 1/4”* (6.35mm) of extra body height.

We weren’t solely going for looks either. RPM body mounts are just plain tough! We engineered new, larger ribs into the mounts to provide extra rigidity and support for the body while keeping weight to a minimum. We mold these body mounts in black from our proven-tough blend of engineering-grade materials, which provides extra durability and impact-resistance in the most extreme situations.

Tech Notes: RPM Body Mounts for the Traxxas Slash 4x4 can be mounted in either the front or rear location on the truck. Each kit contains two body posts, one body mount bracket, two spacers and two M3 x 16mm mounting screws. Two kits will be needed to complete one vehicle.
* Using both RPM spacers requires longer screws (M3 x 20mm) – not included.

Hot Bodies Releases HB Beams SC Tire

HB Beams tires are suitable for hard & dry off-road surfaces such as hard-packed clay and 'blue groove' high bite conditions. These tires also work great on indoor tracks.

With criss-cross bars crossing the tire and small bars in between they resemble an unfinished skyscraper in appearance. Scraping up traction where there is none.

RPM Releases Front & Rear Bumpers for the Traxxas 1/16th Scale Mini E-Revo

At just over 2” wide, stock 1/16th scale Traxxas Mini E-Revo bumpers just aren’t large enough to provide any protection to the front or rear end of these cool little trucks. RPM has that problem solved with our new bumpers that measure in at a full 4” wide, almost double the width of the stock bumpers! Now that’s some serious protection. We also decided to go with a more scale look with a twin tube bumper design. Both front and rear bumpers have this new design while the front bumper also integrates an upper protective loop, indicative of a scale front bumper while also providing additional body protection on roll-overs.

RPM bumpers for the 1/16th scale Mini E-Revo are molded from RPM materials, which means you know they’re tough! We also mold them in three color options – black, blue and red, matching our A-arms presently available for these mean little trucks while blending perfectly with any stock or aftermarket paint scheme.
