RCDRVER in SoCal

I was thumbing through some old issues of RC Driver and found a picture of our editorial man, Dave Baker, doing a photo shoot off the back of his truck. I noticed his license plate, RCDRVER, and thought it was pretty cool; I want one! But I’m sure that is gone here in California – land of everything RC. I headed over to the DMV web site, typed in RCDRVER and wah-lah…it’s available. $40 later I’m the owner of a personalized plate.

I also like the fact that this plate has multiple meanings:

1) RCDRVER = RC DRVR; this magazine.
2) RCDRVER = RC DRVR, as in I’m a driver of RC cars.

So yah, I’ve entered RC geekdom along with Mr. Baker.
