Tamiya, Jilles Groskamp, IFMAR Wins IFMAR Touring Car World Title!

In a thrilling triple A-Main world championship in the Netherlands, Tamiya, Jilles Groskamp, IFMAR has been crowned the new World Champion, bringing to an end Marc Rheinard’s try for a third world title in a row.  Jilles took the opening race with Atsushi Hara less than a second behind.  The secong main was not as kind to Jilles as he finished dead last with Ronald Volker taking the win and Naoto Matsukura in second and Viktor Wilck in third.  The third and final main saw Atsushi Hara taking the win with Jilles Groskamp right behind.  With both Hara and Groskamp having 199 points (both having finished first and second) it came down to total time!  Once calculated, Jilles Groskamp was the winner followed by Atsushi Hara in second and Ronald Volker finishing of the podium!

Like Greg, my first hobby grade vehicle was a Tamiya Falcon; I began racing an RC10 shortly thereafter and have been hooked ever since. My garage of vehicles includes everything from a Losi 5ive-T and HPI Super 5SC Flux, to a Losi Micro T and almost everything in between including boats. I also help out at R/C Madness (my home away from home) in Enfield, CT, in my spare time. While I don’t race all that often anymore my Nephew, Doc, is starting to race my fleet of vehicles.
