Body & Scale Details

The UDR’s Pro Scale body is one of its biggest highlights. The Fox livery is aggressive and clean, paired with molded details that go far beyond a typical RC truck. The integrated roll cage, driver figures, interior panels, and rear accessories like radiator fans, fire extinguishers, and spare parts all contribute to its realism. Even the spare tires are functional, allowing for quick swaps during a run. The addition of front and rear LED lights—including brake lights—further elevates the scale experience.

Chassis

Under the body sits a highly engineered chassis built around an inverted tub design. This layout allows easier access to internal components for maintenance. The battery tray is cleverly designed for quick installation and removal, with a secure locking mechanism. The internal cage structure not only adds realism but also contributes to durability and rigidity.

Suspension

Suspension performance is where the UDR truly stands out. The long-travel setup delivers incredibly realistic movement, soaking up bumps and jumps with ease. Up front, you’ll find a dual shock configuration (spring and slave shock) with adjustable preload and sway bars. The rear trailing arm suspension includes limit straps and massive travel, mimicking full-scale desert racers. Watching the suspension cycle over terrain is part of what makes this truck so addictive to drive.

Drivetrain

The UDR uses a 4WD system with steel CV driveshafts up front and an aluminum center driveshaft. Out back, it features a solid rear axle paired with a planetary gear differential system. This setup helps stabilize the truck under acceleration and over rough terrain, making it easier to control compared to traditional solid axle setups. However, aggressive driving can generate heat in the rear drivetrain components, something experienced drivers will want to monitor.

Electronics

Equipped with Traxxas’ VXL-6S brushless system, the UDR is capable of speeds exceeding 50 mph on 6S LiPo power. The 2200kV motor provides strong acceleration and torque, while the waterproof electronics allow for all-weather driving—including water runs. The included TQi radio system features TSM, which acts like a gyro to help maintain control, especially at high speeds or on loose terrain. A high-torque metal gear servo handles steering duties.

Notable Features

Beyond the core components, the UDR includes several standout features. The Pro Scale lighting system is one of the best in the segment, complete with functional brake lights. The level of wiring organization inside the chassis is clean and well thought out. There’s also strong aftermarket support, allowing users to upgrade components like shock caps, wheels, and drivetrain parts as needed.

On the terrain, the UDR lives up to its reputation. The suspension absorbs bumps effortlessly, creating a planted and realistic driving feel. It handles jumps with confidence, and the TSM system helps correct mistakes mid-run. On loose dirt and sand, especially with paddle tires, the truck delivers massive traction—often pulling wheelies under throttle. However, aggressive bashing can lead to wear or breakage, particularly in high-stress components like axles or knuckles. Managing heat and driving style is key to long-term durability.

Final Thoughts

The Traxxas UDR continues to be a benchmark in the large-scale RC desert truck category. While the latest version doesn’t reinvent the platform, the updated Fox livery and integrated lighting system keep it fresh and highly desirable. It’s not just about speed—it’s about the experience. From the suspension movement to the scale details, the UDR delivers a level of realism few RC vehicles can match. For enthusiasts looking for a visually stunning, high-performance desert truck, this machine still sits near the top of the list.

Body & Scale Details

One of the standout features of this rig is its highly detailed Jeep CJ-7 body. The refreshed version introduces a striking copper color option alongside red, and the addition of a chrome front grille really enhances the vintage look. Scale touches are everywhere—licensed GenRight components like bumpers and rocker guards, detailed decals, a functional interior with bucket seats, center console, shifters, and even pedal details. The opening doors and foldable mirrors add realism, while the integrated roll cage ties it all together. It’s a body that looks just as good on the shelf as it does on the trail.

Chassis Design

Underneath, the SCX10 III platform remains one of the most versatile crawler chassis setups available. It features a durable ladder frame design with adjustable battery mounting positions for either shorty or full-length packs. Inner fender wells not only add to the scale realism but also provide mounting options for accessories like rock lights. A smooth center skid plate helps with obstacle clearance, and the overall layout is clean and functional for both performance and upgrades.

Suspension Setup

The suspension is tuned for crawling performance with a three-link front and four-link rear configuration. Aluminum shocks provide consistent damping, while heavy-duty links with metal pivot balls ensure durability under stress. On the trail, the suspension articulates smoothly, allowing the tires to maintain contact over uneven terrain. The setup strikes a nice balance between scale realism and functional capability.

Drivetrain & Transmission

This is where the SCX10 III really shines. The CJ-7 RTR features AR45 straight axles with universal joints allowing up to 45 degrees of steering angle. The drivetrain includes heavy-duty steering links and a metal steering horn for added strength. Power is transferred through Axial’s Wild Boar driveshafts to a transmission loaded with features—metal gears, a two-speed capability, and a dig system. The included dig servo allows you to lock the rear axle for tight pivot turns, a huge advantage on technical trails. While the two-speed feature requires an additional servo to activate, the flexibility is there for those who want it.

Electronics Package

One of the biggest updates to this refreshed version is the electronics. Axial has ditched the previous 2-in-1 system in favor of separate components, which is a welcome change. The truck includes a Spektrum 40A ESC, a 35-turn brushed motor, and a Spektrum S683 metal gear servo for steering. The addition of a Spektrum SR515 receiver opens up more functionality, including extra ports for accessories like lighting. However, one downside is the exposed auxiliary power ports, which could pose a risk if they come into contact with metal components.

Notable Features

Additional highlights include LED lighting front and rear (including marker lights), beadlock wheels that eliminate the need for glue, and licensed Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires with a soft compound for excellent grip. The dig function is fully integrated into the included radio system, making it easy to use right out of the box. These features along with the body details collectively enhance both the scale realism and trail performance of the truck.

Performance on the Trail

Out on the trail, the SCX10 III CJ-7 delivers exactly what you’d expect from this platform—confidence and capability. The suspension works beautifully over jagged terrain, maintaining traction and stability even on tricky lines. The tires provide excellent grip, with noticeable sidewall flex helping conform to rocks. The drag brake performs well, holding the truck steady on descents, and throttle control is smooth even at low speeds. The dig feature is especially useful for tight maneuvering, allowing the truck to pivot with ease. While it’s not built for speed, it has enough punch on 3S to move quickly when needed. Overall, it’s a highly capable crawler that performs just as good as it looks.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

-Highly detailed scale body with opening doors and interior
-Proven SCX10 III platform with excellent capability
-Functional dig system included out of the box
-Updated electronics with separate receiver and ESC
-Beadlock wheels and licensed tires
-Strong drivetrain with upgrade potential

Cons:

-Exposed auxiliary power ports can be a safety concern
-Body mounting system can be slightly tricky
-Requires body removal to access power switch
-Two-speed transmission requires additional servo to use

Final Thoughts

The return of the Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 RTR is a win for scale crawler fans. Axial didn’t just bring it back—they refined it in meaningful ways, particularly with the updated electronics and fresh styling options. It retains everything that made the original great while addressing key complaints. Whether you’re a collector, a scale enthusiast, or someone who just wants a capable RTR crawler, this CJ-7 absolutely deserves a spot in your lineup.

Vanquish Products is kicking off 2026 with a refreshed take on a fan-favorite platform—the VS410 Origin Classic build kit. Based on the original Origin that crawler enthusiasts quickly fell in love with, this updated version adds key refinements while keeping the scale realism and trail performance intact. Priced at $399.99, the Classic version delivers a premium build experience without stepping into Pro-level pricing territory. With improved body mounting, revised inner fenders, and the proven VFD transmission and F10 axles underneath, this kit aims to satisfy both longtime Vanquish fans and scale-focused trail drivers looking for a capable, high-end platform.

PRODUCT FEATURED
Origin Classic
By: Vanquish Products
Kit Type: 1/10 Electric Trail Truck Build Kit
Part Number: VPS09026A
Price: $399.99
Buy: https://alnk.to/gp48Unt
Requires: Radio System, ESC, Motor, Servo, Battery, Wheels, Tires, Paint and Tools
Visit: https://vanquishproducts.com/

What’s Included

The VS410 Origin Classic is a full build kit, meaning you’re assembling everything from the chassis to the shocks—and even painting the body yourself. Inside the box, you’ll find multiple bags of organized parts, the clear Lexan Origin body, molded scale accessories, composite F10 axles, the VFD transmission components, S8 aluminum-bodied shocks, metal links, slider driveshafts, detailed bumpers, inner fender wells, and a comprehensive instruction manual.

As a true kit, electronics, wheels, tires, and battery are not included. For this build, a FlySky G7P radio system, Reefs RC 1100 Smart Servo (used for steering), a Hobbywing QuicRun 2-in-1 2300kV brushless system, Vanquish BattleBorn wheels, Toyo Open Country tires, and 475 offset hubs were installed. A 3S LiPo powers the setup.

Body

The Origin body remains one of the biggest draws of this platform. This Classic version features the full cab configuration and comes clear, ready for paint. Molded windshield wipers, door handles, grille details, and tail light bezels elevate the scale realism.

The major update here is Vanquish’s new DERP (Dual Engagement Retention Pin) system. Gone are the traditional body clips that previously detracted from the scale look. Instead, molded mounting points inside the body accept front- and rear-specific retention pins, locking the body securely in place while maintaining a clean exterior appearance. The fitment is tight, chatter-free, and easy to remove for maintenance.

The kit does not include an interior, but optional upgrades and lighting kits are available separately for those wanting to push the scale factor even further.

Chassis

The VS410 chassis platform will be instantly recognizable to Vanquish fans. It utilizes stamped metal frame rails with solid cross bracing for a rigid structure. Up front, the chassis is heavily reinforced, contributing to durability and steering precision.

One of the most noticeable upgrades over the original Origin is the molded inner fender system. The previous Lexan inner fenders are replaced by body-matched molded units that integrate the shock towers. This design eliminates body rub issues and gives the truck a cleaner, more factory-finished look. Integrated rock light mounts and wire management clips add thoughtful scale detail.

The chassis includes side plates for electronics mounting, a centrally mounted battery tray with Velcro retention, rock sliders with body alignment guides, and a molded rear fuel tank that doubles as a receiver box (though it is not sealed). The lower skid plate protects the motor while maintaining smooth rock-sliding geometry.

Suspension

Handling suspension duties are Vanquish S8 aluminum-bodied shocks. The cartridges come pre-assembled, requiring only oil fill and bleeding via integrated bleeder screws. Once assembled, they provide exceptionally smooth action and consistent damping.

The truck runs a three-link with panhard bar setup up front and a four-link arrangement in the rear. Metal lower links, slightly thinner upper links, and heavy-duty rod ends provide durability and articulation. Steering links are metal, and the chassis-side panhard mount is metal as well, adding strength where it counts.

One minor gripe during assembly involved E-clips on the shock shafts bending during installation—something to keep an eye on for long-term durability.

Drivetrain

At the heart of the VS410 Origin Classic is Vanquish’s VFD transmission. The motor mounts low in the chassis to improve weight distribution and crawling stability. The composite case houses metal center gears, full ball bearings, chromoly shafts, and front overdrive to aid climbing and steering precision on technical terrain.

Slider driveshafts with metal CV joints connect to composite F10 portal axles. Despite being the non-Pro version, the F10 axles feature machined metal gears inside, universals up front for increased steering angle, low-profile knuckles, and smooth pumpkin shaping for better clearance.

The drivetrain feels refined, with minimal gear noise during operation and only slight break-in clicking noted during early runs.

Electronics (Builder-Supplied Setup)

Since this is a kit, electronics selection significantly influences performance. The build featured:

FlySky G7P transmitter and receiver

Reefs RC 1100 Smart Servo

Hobbywing QuicRun 2-in-1 2300kV brushless motor/ESC combo

3S LiPo battery

The brushless setup delivered ultra-smooth low-speed control with excellent modulation and enough top-end speed for trail driving.

Notables

DERP body mounting system eliminates visible body clips

Integrated molded inner fenders with shock towers

Front overdrive built into transmission

Rock light mounting provisions

Metal links and steering components

Optional Pro version available ($849.99) with aluminum upgrades

Minor build notes:

An instruction step incorrectly directs screws into upper link mounting holes.

The recommended servo horn screw may be too long, potentially limiting steering throw if not checked.

Performance

On the rocks, the VS410 Origin Classic immediately impresses. With no added weight and running on 3S power, it demonstrated confident climbing ability, smooth throttle control, and excellent traction—especially with dual-stage inserts in the Toyo Open Country tires.

The front overdrive noticeably aids steering on technical climbs, allowing tight pivots and controlled vertical ascents. The chassis geometry offers excellent bumper and slider clearance, minimizing hang-ups even during aggressive transitions.

Suspension articulation is plush yet controlled, with predictable weight transfer and impressive off-camber stability. Transmission noise is minimal compared to earlier builds, and drivetrain feedback feels tight and refined after initial break-in.

Even in muddy conditions, the truck maintained composure and traction—living up to the “build it and drive it” mantra.

Pros and Cons
Pros

What’s Included

Right out of the box, the Traxxas Maxx Ultimate arrives fully assembled and ready to run (RTR) with premium components already installed. Included are the TQi 2.4GHz radio system with the Traxxas Link Wireless Module, a set of basic tools, extra battery tray parts, and foam inserts for fitting different battery sizes. The truck is equipped with the Velineon VXL-4S brushless system, 2400KV motor, and cooling fans on both the ESC and motor. Available in two bold colors—green or blue—the Maxx Ultimate immediately stands out with its premium finish and rugged presence. Just add your 3S or 4S LiPo pack, and you’re ready to send it.

Body

The Maxx Ultimate’s body remains true to the aggressive style of the original, but it now features new Ultimate graphics and color accents to match the aluminum upgrades underneath. Traxxas includes an inner support structure that gives the body serious strength to handle hard hits. There’s also a roof skid and bed protector—essential for protecting the body during flips and tumbles. A rear wheelie bar doubles as a convenient carry handle, and the spin clip body mount system makes battery access quick and easy. The look and functionality perfectly complement the rugged nature of this 4S monster.

Chassis

Underneath, the Maxx Ultimate sports the proven high ground clearance chassis that integrates bracing and honeycomb reinforcement for maximum rigidity. The shock towers are molded into the main tub, giving the truck a single, cohesive structure that resists flex during hard landings. An upper brace mount stiffens the front end while doubling as a support for the steering cranks. The quick-release battery system makes swapping packs effortless and accommodates large 6700mAh batteries for extended run times. Everything about this chassis screams durability and convenience, just as you’d expect from a Traxxas Ultimate rig.

Suspension

Traxxas packed the Maxx Ultimate with top-tier suspension hardware. Each corner features green anodized aluminum shock bodies with matching caps and collars, plus TiN-coated shock shafts for buttery-smooth damping and long wear life. The WideMaxx suspension arms made from HD composite material provide a wide stance for stability at high speeds and during cornering. Aluminum caster blocks, steering knuckles, and hub carriers add bulletproof strength to key pivot points. While the factory oil setup feels a bit light for big-air bashing, it’s perfect for backyard and dirt-lot runs. Swap to heavier shock oil, and you’ve got a suspension ready for flight.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain is equally impressive, featuring front and rear gear differentials, a torque-biasing center differential, and all-metal components throughout. The center diff features an aluminum cup and steel spur gear, while the motor mount is a full aluminum unit with reinforced bracing for rigidity. Steel outdrives, axles, and 17mm hex hubs complete the system, ensuring maximum strength where it counts most. The drivetrain’s design allows the Maxx Ultimate to handle massive torque from its 4S power system while maintaining smooth power delivery—whether you’re ripping wheelies or sending huge jumps.

Electronics

Powering the Maxx Ultimate is Traxxas’ Velineon VXL-4S brushless ESC paired with a 2400KV 70mm motor. The ESC includes a cooling fan and Traxxas ID connector, capable of running on both 3S and 4S setups. The motor’s integrated heatsink and fan keep temps in check even during long sessions. Steering duties are handled by the new 2085RL high-torque servo with metal gears and an aluminum center section for cooling and durability. The TQi radio with TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) gives drivers fine-tuned control, while the Traxxas Link app lets you monitor telemetry and make performance tweaks from your phone.

Notables

Every Ultimate edition is known for its factory-installed upgrades, and this truck doesn’t disappoint. Highlights include:

Green anodized aluminum hardware throughout

HD WideMaxx arms for increased stability

Aluminum servo horn and steering cranks

Steel driveline and 17mm hex hubs

Black chrome wheels with Sledgehammer tires

A sleek “Ultimate” body with signature styling

These premium touches make the Maxx Ultimate one of the most durable and best-looking trucks Traxxas has ever released.

Performance

Out on the dirt, the Maxx Ultimate lives up to its name. With a fully charged 4S pack, this truck launches with serious punch, effortlessly pulling wheelies and clearing doubles and triples with style. The VXL-4S system provides brutal acceleration yet remains controllable thanks to TSM. The suspension soaks up rough terrain, though testers noted the rear end has noticeable squat under throttle—something easily fixed with heavier shock oil and spring tweaks. Even after big landings, cartwheels, and a few harsh nose-dives, the truck came out nearly unscathed, proving how tough this platform is. The cooling fans kept electronics temperatures safe, and the servo provided quick, consistent steering. With its mix of power, strength, and agility, the Maxx Ultimate is an all-terrain beast that’s nearly impossible to put down.

When you first unbox the FMS FCX10 Range Rover Camel Trophy Edition, you’re greeted with a fully accessorized, trail-ready rig that looks like it rolled straight from a vintage expedition. From the brush guard and LED lights up front to the full roof rack, snorkel, and sand ramps, this crawler has presence. It’s an officially licensed Range Rover body dressed in classic Camel Trophy livery, and FMS clearly poured in the scale touches. But looks aren’t everything — beneath that Lexan shell lies a crawler built to perform. In this feature we’ll break down exactly what you get, explore the features (body, chassis, suspension, drivetrain, electronics), dig into real-world performance, list pros and cons, and wrap it all up.

What’s Included (Out of the Box)

Straight out of the box, the FCX10 Range Rover arrives with a loaded parts bag of authentic scale accessories: jerry cans, and a Camel Trophy nameplate. You’ll also find a full interior with driver figure (complete with hat), molded dashboard, steering wheel, shifter, and clear windows so the cabin looks real even without custom paint. The body is Lexan and comes pre-decaled with the Camel Trophy graphics; clear marker lenses for headlights/tail lights are molded in, too. FMS provides wiring and magnetic LED connections so the lights are powered once the body is seated — no fiddling with connectors mid-build. Also included are the MG6 radio system (2.4 GHz), the R6D ESC/receiver, and a 550 brushed 32T motor. What’s not included are the battery and charger (you’ll need to supply a 2S or 3S pack). All told, it’s one of the most well-equipped ready-to-run crawlers you’ll find in this class.

Features
Body

The body is realistically styled in Lexan with precise molding and scale detail. Although some might hope for a hard shell, the Lexan construction keeps the rig lightweight and flexible on tight trail lines, while still presenting crisp body lines, indented side panels, and the classic Land Rover front scoop. Clear molded lenses for headlights, markers, and tail lights are included, and a molded grill gives depth instead of relying purely on decals. The brush guard up front and folding mirrors add scale flair. A full roof rack carries sand ladders, and FMS even provides a wire kit so you can wire up the roof lights. The body is held down via a clever quick-clip and magnetic LED mount system that makes removal and reattachment easy and clean.

Chassis

Under the skin, FMS builds the FCX10 on structural steel frame rails (C-channel stamped steel), reinforced with ample cross bracing for rigidity. Inner fenders and molded floor pans close off the underside for a more finished, scale look. The body mounting method uses guide pegs up front and rear, which ensures the body seats cleanly every time, eliminating body post shifts or velcro hassles. A center skid plate protects components during rock strikes, and the overall layout is thoughtfully compact to help maintain balance and minimize overhangs.

Suspension

The suspension system is a strong point of the FCX10. FMS outfits it with aluminum dual-spring shocks (with threaded collars for preload adjustment), giving you tuning flexibility. Metal pivot-balls and metal lower links drive both the front and rear four-link systems. The suspension feels soft and compliant on terrain, absorbing bumps and conforming to irregular surfaces without harsh feedback. Combined with the chassis dynamics, you get a “float over the terrain” sensation rather than a rigid bounce.

Drivetrain

Power delivery is handled by a robust all-metal gear drivetrain mated to a two-speed transmission. Drive shafts are CVD-style (slider joint) down to each axle, ensuring smooth articulation. The straight axles house metal gears internally, and the system is locked (no differential). The front also features CV shafts to the steering knuckles. The wheel output is via 12 mm metal hexes. The system is capped with ball bearings throughout (though not fully sealed), so regular maintenance is advisable if you run through water or mud.

Electronics

FMS includes a 2-in-1 ESC/receiver combo. A standard brushed 550 motor (32T) comes pre-installed. The system supports both 2S and 3S battery setups (user-supplied). The MG6 radio transmitter (6 channels, 2.4 GHz) is included, with built-in switches for controlling LED lighting modes. A shift servo handles transitions between high and low speeds, giving flexibility whether you’re crawling or cruising. Wiring is well dressed and tucked, minimizing interference and adding to the build’s finished character.

Notables

One standout is the magnetic LED connection system — no plugs to fuss with when fitting the body, as the LEDs automatically align when seated. Another is the quick-clip body mount system allows rapid removal for maintenance or upgrades. Scale touches like the non-functional wipers, fold-over mirrors, full interior, and roof accessories add authenticity beyond what many RTR crawlers deliver. Also notable: FMS opted for Lexan rather than hard shell.

Performance

On the trail, the FCX10 Range Rover shines in scale performance and finesse. Clocking its first runs in a rocky creek bed, the crawl in low gear is smooth and controlled, with the Masher-style tires hooking well and the suspension absorbing irregular surfaces without overhead drama. The articulation is fluid, and the rig impresses with composure even across jagged terrain lines. Steering is responsive, though not super tight — you’ll find that the long wheelbase and scale proportion favor controlled lines over ultra sharp pivots. In high gear it can cruise moderately well across flatter terrain, though cogging may appear if pushed near the threshold. Impressively, the drivetrain noise is minimal; one often hears more ambient sound than the guts working. The FCX10 handles moderate side slopes and ledges admirably, using drag brake and proper throttle control to keep things stable. One note: with all accessories up top, the center of gravity is raised, making extreme tilt angles a touch precarious. In water crossings or muddy patches, the bearings should be cleaned post run to maintain longevity. Backed up with well-matched battery power (2S or 3S), this rig tends to give you confidence more than raw brute force, and it’s addictive to drive. After a full outing, the conclusion is clear: FMS has delivered a scale crawler that offers both style and substance straight out of the box.

Wrap-Up

The FMS FCX10 Range Rover Camel Trophy Edition is a standout in the RTR crawling world. From the moment you unpack it, you see that FMS aimed for more than “good enough” — they strove for authenticity, usability, and performance. The scale touches are top tier, and the engineering under the hood supports that attention to detail with a capable chassis, suspension, drivetrain, and electronics. In trail conditions it performs with grace, composure, and a quiet confidence often lacking in similarly priced crawlers. Yes, there are minor caveats (wheelbase, bearing sealing, optional turn signal quirks), but none detract enough to overshadow the whole package. If you’re in the market for a 1/10 scale crawler that brings both show and go, the FCX10 Range Rover is a compelling pick. Happy crawling, RC drivers!

Body

The included body comes clear, allowing for custom paint jobs that reflect your personal style. Vanquish makes the process easier with pre-cut window masks, a premium touch not often found in competition kits. The decals complement the body with bold branding that really pops once applied. While there are no molded dimples for body post holes, this allows drivers flexibility to use magnets or custom mounts. For builders, that little detail shows Vanquish understands the customization needs of serious competitors.

Chassis

The Stance based chassis is at the core of the Mullet’s performance with the rear of the plates shortened. Constructed with black anodized aluminum side plates, it’s rigid, lightweight, and packed with tuning options. Multiple shock mounting positions allow for dialing in suspension geometry, while the angled skid plate provides critical clearance on sharp rock ledges. Side plates for electronics and battery placement add both convenience and flexibility, allowing builders to optimize weight distribution. Once assembled, the chassis feels solid and competition-ready, a great foundation for advanced crawling.

Suspension

Vanquish equips the Mullet with Incision S8E shocks, an emulsion-style shock with hard anodized bodies, bleeder screws for precise bleeding, and smooth X-ring seals. The shocks come partially pre-built, saving time while ensuring top-quality assembly. With 8mm bores and precision hardware, these shocks offer plush travel and consistent rebound, critical for keeping tires planted in technical climbs. Combined with the bent high-clearance rear links, the suspension delivers articulation without sacrificing belly clearance. It’s a system designed to balance stability and flexibility right out of the box.

Drivetrain

At the heart of the drivetrain lies the VRD transmission, outfitted with lightweight machined gears and full ball bearings for smooth, efficient operation. The transmission delivers 21% overdrive, giving the front axle more pull to aid in tackling steep climbs and sharp technical maneuvers. Up front, the F10 straight axle improves steering precision and lowers the center of gravity. In the rear, the F10 portal axle provides the clearance needed to clear gnarly terrain. But the rear pinion housing positions the driveshaft low which may be an issue for some. However, it’s a clever combination—business in the front, party in the back—that makes the Mullet stand out from other crawler builds.

Electronics Setup

Since the kit requires your own electronics, most builders will choose high-end gear to maximize performance. In testing, the Mullet was outfitted with a Holmes Hobbies 2-in-1 brushless system, paired with a Reefs Raw 500 servo for reliable, torque-heavy steering. The electronics tray and battery straps make installation straightforward, and with careful placement, the rig maintains excellent balance. Builders should note that servo size matters—taller cases may interfere with link geometry, so low-profile gear side cases or compact servos are recommended.

Performance

On the rocks, the Vanquish Mullet absolutely shines. The combination of straight axle steering up front and portal clearance in the rear gives it an edge that traditional crawlers struggle to match. The front overdrive pulls the rig confidently through steep climbs, while the rear portals prevent hang-ups on ledges and uneven terrain. There was only a light scuff on the rear driveshaft after our time on the rig; much more on the front axle. Suspension travel is smooth, keeping tires in contact with rock faces even during sketchy sidehills.

The lightweight chassis and balanced weight distribution make it feel planted without being sluggish. Even with minimal brass upgrades, the Mullet maintains grip and composure, and adjustments to ride height can further settle its stance. On technical courses, the steering angle is impressive, allowing for tight maneuvers around gates. Drag brake response from the Holmes Hobbies system was strong, keeping descents controlled.

After extended time on course, it’s clear why this design is gaining traction in the comp scene. The Mullet feels like a finely tuned tool, not just a fun trail rig.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Competition-focused kit straight from the box

Innovative axle combo (straight front, portal rear)

Stiff, tunable stance chassis with angled skid

High-quality shocks, transmission, and machined gears

Clear body with pre-cut window masks for custom builds

Excellent steering angle and drivetrain efficiency

Cons:

Rear axle housing has a low pinion position

Body lacks molded dimples for post holes

Not beginner-friendly—better for experienced builders

Wrap-Up

The Vanquish Mullet RC Rock Crawler is a bold and exciting release that sets a new standard for competition-level kits. By combining premium Vanquish components into one box, they’ve eliminated the guesswork and parts-hunting typically required for comp builds. With its straight-front/portal-rear design, rigid chassis, precision drivetrain, and comp-ready shocks, the Mullet delivers both innovation and raw capability.

This is not a kit for first-time builders, but for those with experience looking to step into competition crawling, the Mullet is a top contender. It’s well thought-out, highly tunable, and most importantly, it performs with confidence on the rocks. Vanquish has once again proven they know how to design for serious RC enthusiasts.

If you’re ready to take your crawling game to the next level, the Mullet is a rig worth adding to your collection. Business in the front, party in the back—it’s time to “mul it” on the rocks.

What’s Included

Inside the box, you’ll find the Vertex 6 crawler, the Redcat RTX-4C 2.4GHz transmitter, and essential accessories like extra straps, and tools. You’ll need your own LiPo battery (3S or 4S recommended) and charger, plus four AA batteries for the transmitter.

Body

The Vertex 6 comes with a competition-style body featuring a pinched front and dovetailed rear for maximum clearance on the rocks. Clear windows add realism, while simple decals and the bold Vertex logo keep things clean and purposeful. The hinged pin system makes removing or tilting the body forward quick and easy. Blue is the only available color for now, but the look is rugged, sharp, and trail-ready.

Chassis

At the core of the Vertex 6 is a twin vertical plate chassis made of 4mm-thick aluminum. Reinforced with composite cross braces and steel shock towers, the design provides rigidity without unnecessary weight. The chassis includes three battery trays, giving you multiple mounting options to balance the rig for optimal crawling performance. A massive lower skid plate protects the centrally mounted motor, while honeycomb bracing throughout adds even more structural strength.

Suspension

The Vertex 6 suspension is built for articulation and durability. Heavy-duty metal suspension links with tapered ends allow the crawler to slide over rocks with ease. Four-link setups in both the front and rear provide stability, while the massive aluminum shocks with bleeder screws and progressive springs keep the suspension planted. While the stepped-down shock shafts may raise durability concerns, the captured perches and steel upper mounts give confidence in rough terrain.

Drivetrain

This crawler’s all-metal drivetrain is built to last. The transmission features metal gears, ball bearings throughout, and a selectable underdrive system with 0% or 33% options depending on terrain. Power transfers through steel slider shafts to heavy-duty axles with aluminum spools, high-pinion gears, and double-jointed CV axles up front for incredible steering angle. With 17mm hexes and beadlock-style wheels, upgrading to aftermarket tires is easy, though the stock soft-compound tires already perform well.

Electronics

Electronics come courtesy of Hobbywing with a 2-in-1 FOC system combining the ESC and motor. The brushless 4269-size motor delivers smooth, powerful performance and excellent drag brake control. Steering is handled by a monster 972 oz-in metal gear servo with a clamping aluminum arm, ensuring precise steering even under load. A micro servo controls the transmission’s underdrive function, while the compact receiver is tucked into a front-mounted box.

Performance

On the rocks, the Vertex 6 proves it’s more than just size and specs—it delivers real crawling ability. Right out of the box, the crawler tackles steep inclines, technical rock gardens, and sidehills with confidence. The drag brake holds the truck steady on descents, and the suspension flexes smoothly to maintain traction. On 3S power, it has enough wheel speed for trail running, but with 4S it becomes a serious powerhouse. While the stock tires need some break-in for maximum grip, the overall stability and steering angle are excellent. Installing the optional knuckle weights enhances front-end bite, making climbs even easier. During testing, the Vertex 6 survived hard tumbles without failure, proving that Redcat’s durability upgrades have paid off.

If you’ve been in the RC hobby for a while, you probably know the frustration of stacking radios on your bench. Between Losi, Axial, ProBoat, and ARRMA models, each ready-to-run kit often comes with its own transmitter—leaving hobbyists with a pile of radios that all do different things. Spektrum has been addressing this issue with their recent dual protocol systems, and now they’ve rolled out the DXC+. This radio aims to simplify your RC life by handling multiple protocols in one unit. We got our hands on the DXC+ to see what it’s all about.

Spektrum DXC+ https://alnk.to/eDTQbXC

Features Breakdown

Out of the box, the DXC+ looks nearly identical to the DX6C—it even shares the same case—but a closer look reveals some important updates.

Receiver Package: The version with a receiver includes the SR615, a 6-channel unit with four auxiliary ports, a bind plug, servo tape, and an instruction manual.

Design Updates: The steering wheel now mounts with a new square adapter plate featuring a brake disc-style sticker, paired with a fresh wheel design and foam grip. On the back, a rubberized grip adds comfort, while the wheel itself rides on ball bearings for smooth control.

Channels & Controls: The DXC+ offers 12 proportional channels, external switches, and trim buttons for plenty of customization.

Connectivity: A USB-C port allows for firmware updates or connection with VRC racing software. Power comes from four AA batteries.

Dual Protocol Support: The big highlight is DSMR and SLT protocol compatibility right out of the box. That means you can bind and run nearly any Horizon Hobby vehicle—from monster trucks to motorcycles—without juggling a dozen radios.

Interface: The menu system mirrors other Spektrum radios, letting you set model names, vehicle types, channel assignments, subtrims, travel adjustments, mixing, telemetry, and more. Up to 20 models can be stored in memory.

In Use

Setting up the DXC+ is straightforward once you’re familiar with Spektrum’s menus. We bound it first to a Capra with four-wheel steer, where assigning auxiliary channels was quick and intuitive. Adjusting subtrims and travel felt familiar and clean. Moving over to the ARRMA Grom, the dual-protocol system really proved its worth—simply selecting SLT with DSC in the menus and rebinding got the model running with minimal fuss.

On the track and trail, the radio feels just as solid as previous Spektrum transmitters. The grip is comfortable, inputs are responsive, and the foam wheel provides precise control. Switching between models was seamless—no more hunting through a pile of radios before heading out. We even tried it on an Axial rig with DSM protocol, and binding was quick and easy.

Wrap Up

At $170 for the transmitter alone or $199.99 with the SR615 receiver, the Spektrum DXC+ isn’t the cheapest option, but it delivers huge value for Horizon Hobby fans. Instead of managing multiple radios, you can consolidate your fleet into a single, capable unit with dual-protocol support, 12-channel flexibility, and Spektrum’s familiar programming interface.

If you own several RTRs from Horizon brands and want to simplify your setup without giving up functionality, the DXC+ could very well be the radio upgrade you’ve been waiting for.

Body

The XRT Ultimate body keeps the aggressive low-profile styling of the standard XRT but adds bold new graphics in blue or green. An integrated exoskeleton increases strength, while strategically placed vents help reduce parachuting and improve cooling airflow. A massive rear wing offers additional stability at high speeds and during jumps. The body is secured with four pull-tab clips, making it easy to remove while still staying locked down during hard landings. Underneath, extra bracing reinforces the body to handle extreme bashing.

Chassis

The Ultimate edition retains the XRT’s low center-of-gravity chassis layout, which is designed for both stability and racing-inspired handling. This setup distributes weight evenly, helping the truck stay planted even at 40+ mph across loose dirt and grass. Aluminum motor mounts and gear covers not only strengthen the platform but also improve cooling and durability. The chassis is further enhanced by reinforced diff housings and an adjustable wheelie bar with aluminum wheels, making it ready for both hard launches and smooth cornering.

Suspension

Traxxas went all-out with the XRT Ultimate’s suspension. The 2025 model features red-anodized shocks fitted with aluminum spring collars, upper caps, and high-nitride coated shafts for extra strength and smoother damping. Adjustable aluminum turnbuckles (Traxxas “Tubes”) provide precise geometry adjustments, while aluminum caster blocks, hubs, and steering knuckles eliminate the flex of composite parts. Together, this suspension system gives the XRT a plush feel while staying responsive enough for tight turns and technical driving.

Drivetrain

Power delivery is where the 2025 Ultimate sees major improvements. The factory-installed Velineon VXL-8s ESC and 1275KV brushless motor deliver serious punch on 8S power. New for 2025 are reinforced outdrives—the same ones used on Traxxas’ sand car—providing much-needed durability under hard acceleration. Aluminum diff caps at both ends lock down the driveline, and the etched Traxxas-logo axles are both stylish and functional. While the box advertises 60+ mph potential, stock gearing produces around 42–44 mph. Optional gearing is required to hit top speed claims.

Electronics

Electronics are another strong point of the Ultimate package. The VXL-8s ESC supports high-voltage 8S LiPo power, giving the truck insane torque and top speed potential. The included TQi radio system comes pre-fitted with the Traxxas Link wireless module, allowing drivers to fine-tune steering rates, throttle settings, and TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) directly from the Traxxas app. The servo has been upgraded with a max-sized unit capable of 650+ oz-in of torque, paired with an aluminum servo horn and bellcrank setup. While powerful, some drivers may still crave an even stronger servo for extreme conditions.

Notable Features
Factory-installed aluminum upgrades valued at over $1,000
New heavy-duty outdrives for increased drivetrain life
Belted tires for reduced ballooning at high speeds
Integrated motor cooling fan system
Pre-installed wheelie bar with aluminum wheels
Race-inspired low CG chassis design for superior handling

Performance Review

On the dirt and pavement, the XRT Ultimate delivers on its promise of high-speed thrills. With stock gearing, we recorded speeds of 42–43 mph on 8S power. While that falls short of the advertised 60+, Traxxas clarified that optional gearing (Part- 7886) is needed to achieve maximum velocity. Still, acceleration is brisk, and stability is excellent thanks to TSM and the low center of gravity design.

Off-road, the XRT Ultimate shines. The suspension soaks up bumps effortlessly, and the truck remains composed even on rough terrain where other vehicles would bounce out of control. Jumping performance is smooth, with predictable landings and a planted feel. The belted tires provide solid grip without excessive ballooning, making the truck easy to control at speed.

Durability is another highlight. After repeated hard landings, rocks, and dirt sprays, the truck showed little more than scuffs. The new heavy-duty outdrives and aluminum reinforcements clearly make a difference. While the upgraded servo was solid, it occasionally showed signs of strain, hinting that hardcore bashers might want an aftermarket upgrade. Still, for most drivers, this RTR package is about as complete and reliable as it gets.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Over $1,000 in aluminum upgrades included from the factory

Race-inspired chassis design with excellent handling

Durable drivetrain with reinforced outdrives

Belted tires reduce ballooning and increase control

Traxxas Link app compatibility out of the box

Stunning looks with bold 2025 graphics

Cons:

Pricey at $1,499.99 plus batteries and charger

Stock gearing limits speed to ~43 mph

Servo is strong but may fall short for extreme bashers

Heavy weight requires powerful batteries for best performance

Wrap-Up

The 2025 Traxxas XRT Ultimate is exactly what its name suggests—a factory-built monster loaded with upgrades, ready to dominate right out of the box. While the price tag may give some pause, it actually represents good value compared to buying all the aluminum hop-ups separately. The truck’s blend of durability, handling, and sheer size makes it a dream for bashers who want performance without the hassle of building.

If you’re looking for a premium 1/7-scale truck that handles like a race machine but has the durability of a basher, the Traxxas XRT Ultimate deserves a spot at the top of your list. Whether you’re tearing up the dirt lot, carving laps with friends, or just looking for the next big thing in RC, the XRT Ultimate delivers an experience that’s as fun as it is extreme.

PRODUCT FEATURED
ARRMA Gorgon Ready-To-Run: https://alnk.to/hsxS4Uc

What’s Included in the Box

The Gorgon is truly ready-to-run, making it a great first RC vehicle. Inside the box, you’ll find:

ARRMA Gorgon Monster Truck (factory-assembled)

2.4GHz radio transmitter

Main battery pack

USB charger

AA batteries for the transmitter

Basic tools and instruction guide

At a price of $200 USD, ARRMA includes everything you need to get rolling, which is rare in this price range. Many RTR models leave out the battery or charger, but the Gorgon package has it all—no extra purchases required to hit the dirt.

Features Breakdown
Body Design

The ARRMA Gorgon body is bold and aggressive, designed to look as tough as it performs. Available in bright yellow or striking purple and a few other colors, the graphics stand out and highlight the truck’s fun personality. The body is integrated with durable plastics, so it’s not just for looks—it’s built to take abuse from flips, tumbles, and rollovers. To finish it off, the Gorgon comes mounted with Chevron-style tires that not only look great but also deliver plenty of bite on dirt and grass.

Chassis

The heart of the Gorgon is its monocoque-style chassis, a one-piece design that integrates the front bulkhead and transmission into the frame. This solid construction is reinforced with internal hexagon webbing for maximum rigidity. Bracing is visible around key stress points like the steering assembly, hinge pins, and shock towers. The result is a strong, durable platform that can handle the punishment of high-speed runs and repeated jumps without flexing.

Suspension

The suspension system features large-bore, oil-filled shocks that soak up rough terrain with ease. Protective shields guard the shock shafts from dirt and debris, increasing their lifespan. The suspension arms are molded with fixed lengths, eliminating the hassle of adjustments loosening over time. Aluminum hinge pin plates add even more durability, ensuring the suspension stays tight and reliable even after repeated impacts. Whether you’re carving turns or sending it off jumps, the Gorgon’s plush suspension keeps it stable and fun to drive.

Drivetrain

ARRMA designed the Gorgon with a brushless-ready transmission, making it future-proof for those who want to upgrade. Out of the box, it comes with a brushed motor, but inside you’ll find a robust slipper clutch, gear differential, slider drive shafts, and fully sealed ball bearings. Even the motor mount uses a fixed-gear mesh system, so you don’t have to worry about improper adjustments. This drivetrain setup ensures the Gorgon runs smoothly while being tough enough to handle higher power if you decide to upgrade later.

Electronics

The electronics package keeps the Gorgon user-friendly. The 2.4GHz radio system includes a built-in throttle limiter, allowing beginners to reduce power to 75% or even 50% until they’re comfortable. The motor provides ample speed for backyard bashing, while the included NiMH battery and USB charger make it truly ready-to-run. One minor drawback is cooling—since the motor is somewhat enclosed, adding a cooling fan is recommended for summer driving or extended runs.

Performance

On the dirt, the ARRMA Gorgon shows why it’s a standout in the $200 category. The truck accelerates quickly and has enough power to throw up roosts or break into controlled slides. Its two-wheel-drive setup makes it playful, teaching drivers throttle control while still being forgiving. Cornering produces exciting three-wheel action, and with the throttle limiter, beginners can dial down power until they’re ready for more speed.

Over jumps, the Gorgon is smooth and stable. The suspension soaks up landings, and the large tires help cushion impacts even when landings aren’t perfect. Despite being a budget-friendly monster truck, it doesn’t feel “cheap.” It soaks up abuse, tumbles, and rollovers without major issues. The aggressive chevron tires provide solid traction on dirt and grass but are still versatile enough for pavement play.

In short, the Gorgon performs like a truck that costs much more, offering both fun and durability. It’s capable of hooking beginners into the RC hobby while still delivering smiles to experienced drivers.

What’s Included

The Traxxas Mini Slash 4×4 comes ready-to-run right out of the box. Inside you’ll find the fully assembled truck with factory-installed electronics, a Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz radio system, a 3500mAh 2S LiPo battery, and a convenient USB-C charger. Traxxas also includes decals for the bed, preload clips for the suspension, a basic tool kit, and an instruction manual. Essentially, everything you need to hit the dirt is here—just add AA batteries for the transmitter.

Body

The Mini Slash 4×4 carries aggressive styling that blends design cues from the larger Slash 4×4 and Maxx platforms. Four color options are available, each with simplified graphics that look clean and sharp. A molded inner structure supports the body during hard hits and also doubles as ducting for motor and ESC cooling. Small details like a driver figure with dashboard decals add realism. One weak point is the rear bumper area, which flexes under cartwheels and can push into the body edges, leading to cracks. Traxxas did redesign the front bumper to better fit the shell, and the body clip-less mounting system makes removal quick and easy.

Chassis

The chassis is a dedicated design unique to the Mini Slash 4×4. While it borrows styling from the Mini Maxx and XRT, it’s stretched slightly for proper short course proportions. Reinforced with honeycomb webbing underneath, the chassis provides a stiff, durable platform for high-speed runs and rough terrain. The flat bottom skids allow the truck to slide smoothly over obstacles while protecting components. A clever battery mount with a spacer clip accommodates larger packs, adding flexibility for those who like to grab more runtime.

Suspension

Suspension on the Mini Slash 4×4 is short-course tuned, with compact shocks and arms scaled for balance between agility and durability. The shocks feel a little soft out of the box but preload spacers are included to help fine-tune ride height. Front steering geometry uses a twin-bellcrank setup with a built-in servo saver, delivering responsive steering for both dirt and asphalt. While the truck won’t handle extremely rough construction-site terrain, it’s well-matched for dirt lots, grass, and pavement. Steering knuckles and caster blocks are pulled from the Mini Maxx, giving the suspension a proven backbone.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain is where the Mini Slash 4×4 shines. It uses sealed planetary gear differentials front and rear for consistent traction. Traxxas revised the ring and pinion gearing to account for the smaller tires, which helps the truck achieve its 30+ mph top speed. There’s no slipper clutch or center diff—just a fixed spur gear with a keyed design for strength. A longer center driveshaft matches the stretched chassis, and slider-style driveshafts with full sealed ball bearings keep things smooth and efficient.

Electronics

Powering the Mini Slash is the Traxxas BL-2s brushless system with a 3300Kv motor. It’s internal fan-cooled for efficiency and durability, though the composite motor plate could have benefitted from a metal upgrade. The included ESC handles 2S LiPo packs out of the box. For drivers craving more power, the chassis can accept the Traxxas VXL system for 3S, though drivetrain upgrades would be recommended. Steering is handled by a standard Traxxas 2056 servo, while the TQ receiver tucks under a protective dust cover. Everything is controlled via the dependable TQ 2.4GHz radio system.

Notables

Licensed BFG KO2-inspired tires with a ribbed internal structure replace traditional foam inserts, giving consistent support and eliminating water absorption issues.

Four available body colors including vibrant yellow and hot pink options.

Clipless body mounting system makes shell removal fast and frustration-free.

Designed as a hybrid of the Traxxas Slash 4×4 and Maxx styling cues, giving it a bold, modern stance.

Performance

Out on the dirt, the Traxxas Mini Slash 4×4 immediately shows its personality. Acceleration is strong for a 2S system, and hitting 30 mph feels fast in a truck of this size. The four-wheel drive system keeps it planted, yet it still delivers fun, controllable power slides through loose turns. On asphalt, steering feels sharp and predictable, making it easy to imagine hobby shops setting up parking lot races with cones or small jumps. Jumps are where the truck really shines—it flies straight and lands surprisingly well for its size, though repeated hard crashes can put stress on the front body edges. Suspension damping is on the soft side, but preload clips allow for quick tuning to suit dirt, grass, or pavement. The licensed BFG-inspired tires grip consistently across surfaces, with enough slide in the rear to keep driving exciting. Even after extended runs, heat levels stayed in check, meaning the truck can handle plenty of bashing without worry. Overall, the Mini Slash delivers the speed, handling, and all-around fun that makes short course trucks such a blast, only now in a more compact and approachable platform.

Wrap-Up

It’s quick, durable, and capable of handling dirt lots, pavement, and small jumps with ease. For backyard bashers, parking lot racers, or anyone who wants Slash performance in a smaller footprint, the Mini Slash 4×4 is an easy recommendation. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it proves once again that Traxxas knows how to make an RC truck that keeps you smiling pack after pack.

Features Breakdown
Licensed Chevy Colorado ZR2 Body

The FMT10 features a sharp licensed Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 body, giving this basher a true scale look. Available in multiple colors, the truck sports molded details like a realistic grille, mirrors, roll bar, and taillights. A standout feature is its clipless body mounting system with spring-loaded trays and push buttons. It’s durable and quick, though sand can cause issues with button access. Clear windows would have been nice, but overall the body has strong detailing for a basher-class truck.

Double-Deck Chassis Design

The FMT10 chassis uses a unique double-deck layout with a nylon composite upper deck and aluminum plate lower deck. Reinforced composite bracing, a full-length center support, and a heavy-duty front bumper (recently revised for durability) provide strength. FMS even etched “Roar and Rule” into the aluminum bottom plate for flair. A roomy battery tray with adjustable straps ensures compatibility with different pack sizes, while waterproof electronics housings protect your gear.

Tunable Suspension System

The suspension is built for big hits with pivot ball arms, droop screws, sway bars, and aluminum hinge pin holders. Massive 5mm shock towers with etched detailing hold large-bore aluminum shocks filled with heavy oil for bashing. Quick-change shock mounts simplify maintenance, while adjustable turnbuckles provide easy camber and toe tuning. With stiff damping and strong geometry, the suspension is almost race-buggy inspired—ideal for sending it over jumps.

Heavy-Duty Drivetrain

At the core is a triple-differential drivetrain with metal gears, metal ring and pinion, and full ball bearings. The front and rear use CVD-style driveshafts while the center uses dogbones. Outdrives are thick and coated for durability. Revisions were made before release to strengthen diff housings, ensuring long-term reliability. With a 17mm hex setup, the truck accepts a wide variety of aftermarket wheel options, adding versatility.

Electronics Package

The electronics are where this truck shines. The Hobbywing 120A ESC paired with a 2000KV 4074 brushless motor provides smooth power delivery and a claimed 50+ mph top speed on 4S. The Predator 35kg servo features a metal case, metal gears, and an aluminum arm—serious hardware for a basher at this price point. The X5P 2.4GHz radio system includes trims and adjustments, plus FMS includes an optional light bar for night running.

Performance Review

On the dirt lot and sand dunes, the FMT10 Colorado delivers big-air fun and solid handling. On 4S, it launches hard and soars off jumps with confidence. Landings are stable thanks to the stiff suspension, though the truck transfers noticeable power to the front wheels, softening initial punch. This can be tuned by adjusting ESC punch settings or experimenting with diff oils.

Steering response is excellent after trimming, with plenty of angle and predictable cornering. The monster truck tires grip well but do better on packed dirt than loose sand. Venting the tires is a must to avoid ballooning and sand buildup. Braking is strong but can be dialed back for smoother landings.

Durability is impressive. Even after repeated hard hits and flat landings, the chassis, suspension, and drivetrain held up without major issues. The only annoyance was the body clip system filling with sand, making removal difficult. Aside from that, the FMT10 proves itself as a capable, high-fun basher that can stand up to punishment.

Wrap-Up

The FMS Model FMT10 Colorado 1/10 4WD Brushless RTR shows that FMS isn’t just here for scale rigs—they’re aiming for the heart of the RC basher market. With a rugged chassis, durable drivetrain, high-power electronics, and a licensed Chevy Colorado body, this truck is loaded with value at its price point. It jumps well, takes hits like a champ, and looks sharp doing it. While the body mount system and diff set-up have some quirks, these are minor compared to the overall package.

For RC drivers looking for a big, powerful, and durable RTR basher, the FMT10 Colorado is absolutely worth considering. FMS did their homework with revisions before launch, and the result is a solid truck that delivers fun right out of the box. Expect to see this platform grow with aftermarket support, but even stock—it’s already a monster.
