In the traditional shock locations, Tamiya utilizes progressive coil springs directly over the axle links, allowing the truck to maintain a stable stance while articulating over obstacles. Massive articulation is provided by a heavy-duty four-link suspension system constructed with substantial aluminum rods, all anchored to a rigid aluminum ladder frame tied together with durable cross-members.

Receiving power from the drivetrain are four large-diameter tires with aggressive off-road tread that extends onto the sidewalls for extra bite when crawling on rocks. Each tire is wrapped around a functional plastic beadlock wheel featuring a realistic off-road design.

The compact gearbox transfers power to all four wheels and its small size enables a better center of gravity.
