SPONSORED ARTICLE

Ever since the Traxxas Maxx was released back in 2019, it has built a big following. This awesome 1/10-scale ready-to-run monster truck has so much to offer like a powerful 4S brushless motor system, an incredibly tough chassis design, loads of ground clearance, big bore oil-filled shocks, metal gear drive-line plus so much more. The Traxxas Maxx is also equipped with the innovative and super convenient clipless body mounting system just like what is used on the X-Maxx and Rustler 4×4. The ease of use of this system is excellent, except for when you want to use an aftermarket body. Thankfully, Pro-Line went to work and came up with a solution. We will share the remedy so that you can circumvent the clipless body mounting system as well as show you a selection of six sweet aftermarket body options for the Traxxas Maxx.

Traxxas came up with a very innovative design for quickly and securely mounting its stock bodies onto the chassis of the Rustler 4×4, X-Maxx and one of the newest, the Traxxas Maxx monster truck. Traxxas refers to it as the clipless body mounting system which uses a rugged latching system that makes it possible to install and remove the body in seconds with just one hand. A vital part of this system requires an inner plastic skeleton to be attached to the inside of the body. Although the system works great with the stock Traxxas bodies, it makes it difficult to swap them out for an aftermarket body like the numerous options offered by Pro-Line. With that said, Pro-Line jumped into action and developed special body mounts designed specifically for the Traxxas Maxx chassis.

Secure-Loc Caps

Pro-Line did not stop there with creating the Maxx Extended Body Mounting Kit. Instead of using flimsy body clips that can easily come off in a crash and/or get bent up and damage the surface of the body, Pro-Line fitted these mounts with their screw on body mounting system. A setscrew is screwed into the body post followed by an O-ring. Then you mount the body like you normally would and then you screw on the Secure-Loc Caps that will securely hold the body onto the chassis. This option works better than body clips and looks much better.
