We were able to get our hands on an early released kit of the Tamiya Comical HotShot GF-01Cb 4wd RC buggy kit. The HotShot is a well known name in the RC world as it used to be a great 4-wheeler option during the golden years of RC. Tamiya brought the name back to life in the Comical Buggy series. These fun RC kits are great to build and offer lots of driving fun when they’re finished. This is a 4wd version of their comical series, so the fun factor is bumped up by all four wheels tearing at the ground.
This particular build kit comes with a painted body so all you have to do is cut it out and decal it. It also comes with a motor and ESC so all you’ll need to supply is a radio system, servo and battery to get it going. You’ll need the usual building supplies too.
The review for this buggy will be on our Youtube channel as we always do, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek of the direction we went with this build. Rather than show you a GF-01Cb again as we already reviewed this chassis as the Comical Avante. We decided to bolt on five option parts we thought were most useful to this platform from the Tamiya Option Parts list.
