Introducing the hot new, retro-styled, pre-painted/pre-cut Pro-Line HeatWave 1967 Ford F-100 race truck body for the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer (UDR). This isn’t simply a new Pro-Line body, it is also a first of its kind from the crew at Pro-Line.
Pro-Line is calling out the the HeatWave 1967 Ford F-100 race truck body as pre-painted, however it is actually much better than paint. The body is molded from black polycarbonate, hence the “first of its kind” statement, so it is black all the way through. This means if you get a few scratches or take some good hits, this body will always stay black. Pro-Line sells the body as pre-cut including the massive Black and Gold Heatwave livery decal wrap so completing the body and installation is a cinch.
Using a Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer along with the new Pro-Line HeatWave 1967 Ford F-100 race truck body allows you to now build a fully licensed replica of the popular full-size Heatwave Trophy Truck driven by Chris Isenhouer. Chris races his iconic Black and Gold Heatwave Ford F-100 converted to Trophy Truck specs in the unrelenting desert along with his brother Nick.
The body features the iconic flat front F-100 grill and wide fender flares to represent the aggressive fiberglass bulges found on Chris’s full-size race truck. Pro-Line’s 1967 F-100 Heatwave Edition body mounts directly to the cage on the UDR in the same locations as the stock body, so all you need to do is remove the outer film, place the wrap following the included instructions, and install the body just like you would the stock body.
